Dr. Kleinbaum is a Board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist. He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and completed his medical training at Sackler School of Medicine in Ramat Aviv, Israel, before transferring to Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he graduated with his medical degree. He went on to attend an internal medicine residency and a hematology-oncology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. During his fellowship tenure, Dr. Kleinbaum managed many complex hematologist and oncologist problems. He also served as Chief Fellow during this time and supported the development of academic curricula for Baylor College of Medicine’s fellowship program.
Dr. Kleinbaum’s care approach begins with effective communication and is centered on shared decision-making, ensuring his patients are involved in every stage of the process and educated in their diagnoses and treatment options to make better-informed health decisions. He has been providing cancer care in the Houston area since 2006.
He enjoys gourmet cooking, a result of his time spent traveling the world, and competitive sports.
