Dr. Kodityal is a Board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist. He is known as “Dr. Kodi” by his patients. He received his bachelor’s degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, graduating on the Dean’s List with Distinction and earned a Howard Hughes Fellowship in biochemistry. He went on to complete his medical training at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, receiving the Osler Award, a recognition given to exemplary senior medical students in internal medicine. After completing his medical training, Dr. Kodityal did an internal medicine residency and hematology-oncology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he did a 10-month-long clinical assignment focused on lung cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer and sarcoma while at The MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Recognized as a leading expert in the field, he has lectured at the Houston Hematology Citywide Conference and presented for Sanofi-Aventis, Eli Lilly, Foundation One, Boehringer-Ingelheim, Takeda and Astra Zeneca. He has also published articles in leading medical journals including Blood, Journal of Intensive Care Medicine, Grand Rounds and European Journal of Hematology.
He has been providing cancer care in the Houston area since 2007.
